Work is currently in progress and we are hopeful that in due course, there might be sufficient funds to remove the muddy verges near our street sign and the beautiful cherry tree.
The Council hve been informed of this several times by a resident, and lately by Brunshaw Neighbourhood Watch, who will also be asking for speed bumps to be put in place to try to combat this.

Dangerous Trees
ISSUES
Autumn 2017
The kids on the avenue thought the digger was great!
Even sand bags were necessary!
and the Council.
As a NHW we major on Community Cohesion and doing sociable events with neighbours, so to create a strong bond together.
We leave policing to the Police, simply working with the
Police's LOGGING SYSTEM
along with staying in dialogue with the Council, the CVS,
the Safety Services, Calico, etc., who are the responsible Bodies
for getting things done in our area.
Our NHW aim has been to work with a Scheme that enables us
to safely talk together, with a background ethos that we all want
to move forward to give the area in which we live the freedom of
a Well-Being feeling.
When the News Reporter visited our area in July 2014, this is exactly what she personally experienced.
She spoke of this good feeling on Radio Lancashire.
Safety on Wycoller Park
Residents have, for some while, been concerned about the unlit path
leading up from the bus stop on Brunshaw Avenue through the park
to houses on Wycoller Avenue and beyond.
Neighbourhood Watch suggested lighting bollards to make it safer,
and has been active in persuading the council to do something.
The photos show the new lamp posts now in place to brighten the path.
A request by a resident was logged with
the council in Spring 2016
to replace grass with hard standing.
This was followed up with a plea for help to Mark Townsend, Leader of Burnley Council.
Grass on one side has been removed by the
cheerful and hard working council team
and is to be replaced
with a footpath.
Residents had been struggling for some while with having
to park on grass verges
leaving this muddy mess.
Thanks to Councillor Mark Townsend for his help in this matter.

Trees on waste ground that had grown too tall,
making them a danger to nearby houses,
have been taken down by Calico's Tree Surgeon
after members of Neighbourhood Watch alerted Calico
Local Speeding - Safety Concerns

Have been highlighted in the vicinity of
Brunshaw Primary & Nursery
Many thanks to Linda White for spearheading this toward getting it sorted, and to Calico, United Utilities and LCC for all your help.
LCC & United utilities found this area had drains blocked by grease and rags.
They have cleared them on the 29th March.
